Your Journey Guide
Thank you my love for answering the call
Inside you’ll find everything you need to help you prepare for the experience ahead. Simply arrive with an open heart and the willingness to meet yourself.
Prepare your Space
Creating a comfortable, uninterrupted environment allows you to fully surrender to the experience.
You’ll need:
✓ A quiet space where you won’t be disturbed
✓ A yoga mat, bed or comfortable couch to lie on
✓ A folded towel or low-profile pillow to support your head and keep your airway comfortably open
✓ A blanket if you’d like to stay warm and cosy
✓ A bottle of water nearby
✓ Headphones (recommended for the most immersive experience, but not essential)
✓ A journal and pen for any reflections afterwards
If lying down isn’t comfortable for your body, you’re welcome to remain seated with a tall, supported spine.
Before You Begin
Before you press play, give yourself a moment to arrive.
This journey is yours. There is nowhere to get to, nothing to achieve and no need to push your body beyond what feels right.
Throughout the experience, I’ll guide you, but your body is always the guide.
If at any point the breath feels too intense, you can slow down, soften the breath or return completely to your natural breathing.
Breath holds are always optional. You never need to hold longer than feels comfortable.
Please keep yourself safe
✓ Experience this journey lying down or comfortably supported.
✓ Never practise this breathwork in water , including a bath, pool, ocean or spa.
✓ Do not practise while driving or anywhere that requires your full attention.
✓ Allow at least 20–30 minutes after your journey before driving, and only drive once you feel completely alert, grounded and back to your normal state.
✓ When the journey finishes, take your time getting up. Remain lying or seated for several minutes and avoid standing suddenly, particularly if you feel light-headed or altered.
Have some water. Breathe naturally. Journal if you feel called.
There is no rush to leave the space you’ve just created.
Understanding the Breath
During your journey, I’ll guide you into a continuous circular breath.
This means:
Inhale through the mouth → exhale through the mouth → inhale again.
With no pause at the top of the inhale and no pause at the bottom of the exhale. The breath gently flows in a continuous circle.
We’ll move through three rounds of breathing, with a breath hold between each round.
During the breath holds
Rather than pushing yourself to your absolute limit, stay somewhere around a moderate urge to breathe. The moment your body tells you it needs air, breathe.
You may experience sensations such as tingling, temperature changes, emotion or light-headedness during connected breathwork. If anything feels concerning, painful, overwhelming, or you simply want to stop, return to your normal breathing and rest.
You are always in control of your experience
Listen to your body
The Invitation
Simply come as you are.
Bring your curiosity, your presence and your willingness to meet whatever is ready to be met.
And remember
You are always in choice. Trust yourself more than the instructions.
This journey is here for you now and it will remain here for you whenever you feel called to return.
Take a moment.
Prepare your space.
And when you’re ready… press play.
Integration for
Post-Breath
Your journey doesn’t end when the breath does. Give yourself a little time to simply be before moving back into your day.
Stay lying down or seated for a few minutes and allow your natural breath to return. Notice your body. Notice what feels different. Notice what is here without needing to understand or make meaning from it straight away.
Drink some water and, if you feel called, take a few moments with your journal or to spend time in nature and ground yourself.
You might ask yourself:
What did I feel?
What came forward for me?
What does my body need now?
Move slowly when you’re ready to get up, and make sure you feel fully grounded and steady before standing.
Avoid driving for at least 20–30 minutes after the journey, and longer if you still feel light-headed, emotional, deeply relaxed or altered.
Be gentle with yourself afterwards
You don’t need to figure it all out today
Let the experience integrate in its own time
With love,
Shahnee
